Petite Fashion Challenge #4: “Holiday Party”

This is my very first Petite Fashion Challenge! Why is it only my first? I suppose I felt too overwhelmed by the pressure with the previous challenges that I couldn’t think of anything to wear! I thought I would give this one a try because an outfit immediately popped into my mind when I read about this. This time around, the challenge is hosted by Curls and Pearls, who just always looks adorable! The challenge:

Create a holiday party look using festive colours and/or holiday pieces without looking like a greeting card.

DSC01041 DSC01000 DSC01019 DSC00990DSC00984DSC00977Ann Taylor Drape Sleeveless Top /  Ann Taylor Belt / Jacob Skirt  / Hue Tights / Adrienne Vittadini Adam Bootie  / Opera Length (16-button) Lambskin Leather Gloves / Le Chateau Bracelet

Aren’t the gloves to *die* for?!! I’ve had a serious obsession with leather gloves of all kinds in the past few years. You can pick up a pair of these gloves at leatherglovesonline.com (free shipping both ways within the US!), or if you live in Canada, you can get a similar pair for a steal at Danier (see here).

Happy holiday partying!!

Beautiful draping (and color, too!) of the top and the accessories are so glamorous! I would never know how to wear above the elbow gloves…still not even on the OTK boot boat yet. Pretty tights too : )

I *KNEW* the top was Ann Taylor as soon as I saw the picture. I also really like the gloves. I’ve been looking for longer gloves now that I have a coat that is actually a petite size with sleeves that end at my wrst.

Oh! This looks soooo lux…I feel you would be purring while posing for this photo like Elizabeth Taylor 🙂 You look stunning and I love the draping of your dress, the gloves with the bracelet. Perfect festive outfit!

So fierce! Your outfit is similar to Callandra’s, but I think the way you styled it shows your edginess with the leather gloves and booties. I have a thing for leather gloves too, but I just haven’t found the right black ones. =)

I love opera length gloves. I have a navy blue satin pair and a black pair, and I never get to wear them because it is hard not to look overdone with them. This is a great combination and the gloves totally work here. I also love patterned tights but have been afraid to wear them because my legs are short, but now seeing them on you I am reconsidering.

you should join all the PFC! Your outfit is like smokin! Ever since I watched “Confessions of a Shopaholic”, I’ve been thinking about gloves, but no one wears them where I live and I would have trouble how to incorporate gloves with my outfits, so I’m happy that you chose to wear them for the challenge. It does look to die for!

I’d like to know what kind of party you’re going to, but those gloves are super fierce! I definitely can’t carry them off but you’ve always been so edgy 🙂 I want pattern tights too, but have always worried about their durability.
