Come every fall, I become obsessed with knee-length wool coats. I’ve loved them since my early years in undergrad and my fondness of them has yet to wane. I had to retire my old J.Crew Wool knee-length coat a few years ago and have been unsuccessful at finding a good replacement that is within my budget.
I happened to be browsing the J.Crew website this morning and came across this J.Crew Regent Topcoat in Double Serge Wool:
LOVE. It has the signature Regent popped collar but in a longer length and it just looks stunning on the model. It seems to have more of a straighter cut as opposed to an a-line cut (at least that’s what I’m hoping). Note that this isn’t sold as outerwear, but is in fact a “topcoat”–basically a long blazer. The material is also in a double-serge wool, so I can imagine it can be used as a type of outerwear that can be used in the early months of fall.
J.Crew is also having a Labor Day Sale weekend with 30% off on your purchase of $125 or more (and 50% off final sale, use code GETSHOPPING, exclusions apply). I may or may not have ordered this jacket. It also comes in ivory and pink, which look just as stunning. It’s regular price is $350, but is reduced to $245 with the labor day discount. If you are as curious about this jacket as I am, it’s a good time to grab this to try out if you are in fear that it might sell out before you can get your hands on it.
There are some great items in the J.Crew fall collection this year. Here’s a few of my picks that are included in the sale, which I may or may not have also picked up:
