Ever since I was ten years old, I’ve had a thing for blazers. I blame my my mom. I still remember that first blazer. It was just a basic black one with two buttons. And it was the best thing in the world. And now, 30 years later, nothing has changed.
This Babaton Trent blazer surprised me. I decided to give it a try after it went on sale for a mere $70 from $279. And it did not disappoint. I was expecting a much stiffer/structured fabric. But to my delight, it is light and somewhat flowy. Oh, and it has pinstripes. WIN.
Admittedly, prints in my closet are few and far between. If I am going to consider adding a print, it has be neutral, classic, and not too in your face. I enjoy a little leopard print however, depending on the pattern and color, it can be a little much for me. However, when I saw this Banana Republic version, I knew it had to be mine! A soft, but not too subtle leopard print had my name all over it.
My imagination was running wild when I saw this cowlick top on the Ann Taylor website. When I finally got my hands on it, it did not disappoint. Highly recommend. Wearing in Regular, as opposed to Petite size, to get that extra drapey look.
