Does this styling look familiar?

I love this ad. I think it’s probably what convinced me to buy these jeans years ago. So simple and yet so put together. The sweater I used was my waist-tie slouchy sweater, but I just left it open and tied it in the back instead.

I’ve had my eye on this Tolani scarf since before Christmas. It’s 100% silk and the color is just *beautiful*. This has instantly become one of my favorites out of my entire scarf collection.

As for the jeans, I bought these babies about four or five years ago when I first started to get into high-end denim. I love the wide-leg, but if you are familiar with Frankie B. jeans, they are made extremely, extremely small, but also are extremely, extremely *LOW*, even for me.  It was more of the style back then, but it’s just down right inappropriate when I bend over. So you probably won’t see my wearing these around with a short top, but otherwise, I still love these jeans.

A hint to wearing wide leg bottoms and flares: You want to try to keep the length as long as possible without any dragging as it helps lengthen the leg line. Too short, and you’ve chopped off your legs! Holds true for both the petite and tall. But of course, please remember, avoid wearing pants that may touch the ground if it has snowed recently and there is salt on the concrete. Any contact with salt is a sure way to ruin and fray your beloved pants. This has happened to me on too many occasions!

Shoe Score

Awesome shoe find at my TJ Maxx! My TJM has a Runway section which always gets me so excited when I go in, despite the fact that I still can’t afford a lot of the stuff. LOL. I got lucky this time around! I was perusing the shoe section (which is always a complete mess) and amazingly found a pair of D&G booties on clearance!! I was totally mesmerized when I lay my eyes on these. Here they are (sorry, I was way too excited to take these photos in a better place):

Dark grey suede with the dip in the front that I’ve been obsessing about, and here it’s PERFECT. Four inch, thick but not too thick heel and a seamless almond toe. So beautiful! Regular price $700! How much did I pay? $189! It was still in the upper hundreds and about $70 more than I usually pay for shoes, but I figured if I returned those Adrienne Vittadini suede booties from Piperlime that I settled on, then really these were only about $100. LOL. I am so, so excited about these I can hardly contain myself! The fit is narrow and a straight up size 6, maybe even a smidge small. My toes are by no means squished or uncomfortable, but I can feel them touching the top of the shoe but not in an annoying way; it’s much like a pointy-toed heel. If you have a wider foot than my own (and I have a fairly narrow foot) or a borderline 6-6.5, these would not fit and I could see why these made it to the clearance rack. Lucky me!
