Lace-up

I really tried to resist buying these lace-up flats, but alas, I couldn’t help myself. I actually used to have a pair of lace-up wedge sandals years ago. Let me tell you, they were HOT. But not the most practical to walk in. They were basically for sitting and standing still. These Zara flats are a bit better. They are TTS and do require some breaking in, but they aren’t bad and are made of leather, which is basically a requirement if I’m going to buy a pair of shoes. DRESSED ACCORDINGLY BLOG // White leather vest + Blush tea + ripped denim + lace-up flatsZara tie-up flats / Genetic Shya Denim / TNA tee (similar)/ Club Monaco Leather Vest / Michael Kors Runway watch / Aldo rings

Summer Knits

I love the idea of summer knits, though, not always so practical when you live in a hot and humid climate. To some, I may be fortunate to be able to wear these summer-weight sweaters (I think I’m still on the fence, but I do like that fact that I can still wear full-length denim in the summer now that I’m living back home in Toronto).

I wanted to post about this Wilfred Balzac sweater because I’m in love with it and many of the colors are on sale. It has a nice drapey fit with a dolman sleeve without being overwhelming on my petite frame. It is a cashmere/silk blend and not itchy at all for those of you that are sensitive to wool. Note however, that it runs on the large side. I actually went down one size for a not-too-oversized fit. I see only a small selection online, but you may find many more colors in your local store. I believe I counted five different colors including orange and lavender. The prices range from $45 on sale to $95 full price, and vary according to color. I think I may pick up another in Milk!

A Flash of Red

The easiest way for me to add color to my usually neutral outfits is to add a colored scarf. These square scarves are great for warmer months when temperatures allow for an extra something to be hanging around your neck. The red also gives a little more visual interest to a white button-down and blue denim.
