I love suede, but being notoriously difficult to care for in a winter-y climate, I tend to shy away from buying suede to a certain extent. But these old grey suede boots by Cole Haan that sit in the back of my closet most of the year still have my heart and I love it matched with black and white. I adore them so much that I have my eye on these Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots in black suede.

If you are wondering about this scarf, it is the Acne Canada Scarf. I purchased it last year and it is now a staple in my winter wardrobe. It is one of the more expensive scarves that I own, but it is well worth it. It is 100% wool, large, thick, and warm. And the quality is impeccable. Totally worth the $$ I spent on it and looking to purchase another in camel.
I am fascinated by capes. I’ve had a belted wool cape jacket on my wish list for some time now, but I haven’t come across just the right one. But I saw this cape jacket online at the Zara website and I was in love. Such a dramatic topper. And while, such a piece doesn’t normally fit into my lifestyle, I still *had* to have it.
Do you notice the funky tan lines on my feet? This was from a hot and sunny day in early March. I’m usually quite obsessive about applying sunscreen, but not realizing how hot it was going to be, I didn’t apply it on my feet where there was a gap between my cropped boyfriend jeans and my Vince slip-on sneakers. As a result of my neglect, I have this ridiculous tan line that I compare to the farmer’s tan. If any one has a suggestion on how to quickly fade sharp tan lines, I’d be thrilled to hear it!
Never would I have thought to wear an army green utility jacket with this light jade/minty green blouse, but I recently discovered Marissa Webb’s Instagram and suddenly I’m all sorts of inspired to try new color combinations.
After putting on this outfit, I’ve been questioning myself as to whether or not I actually like the pieces together. The colors, despite my own logic, appear to somehow work, but it’s a lot of color for someone who’s had an obsession with black and other dark neutrals over the last few years. It’s going to require some getting used to.
