I’m constantly trying to think of new ways to wear these culottes. In hindsight, I probably should have purchased this J.Crew Patio Pant in navy blue for some added versatility, but what is done is done. Pairing them with these awesome lace-up pumps and leather jacket to toughen them up is just so much fun.
Winter still seems to be hanging around in these parts. While Easter Sunday is supposed to bring some spring temperatures, Easter Eve was still below freezing. My family attended early morning Mass and I quickly realized I needed to add on some Easter layers to my outfit. Lightened up slightly from my typical dark neutrals from winter, I wore a dusty rose/mauve-colored silk blouse under my white leather moto vest and light grey wool peacoat. I topped it off with a scarf to cover my neck and I was good to go.
I’m not a pink girl. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of items hanging in my closet that are considered to be in the pink family. But I’ve been warming up to the whole idea of “blush” lately, as it leans somewhat closer to nude than “Barbie pink”. Blush I can deal with, Barbie pink maybe not so much. So as I was browsing through the new arrivals on Nordstrom.com and this blush colored leather jacket by Halogen caught my eye:
Halogen Cropped Leather Trench Jacket, via Nordstrom, $328
I love the cropped trench style, storm-flap and all–it’s so different from all the other leather jackets I’ve been saying of late. It’s definitely on my “to-try” list, and for $328, it’s a reasonable price for real leather. It also comes in petite sizes! Petite ladies, if you are having trouble finding a good fitting leather jacket, maybe this is the one!
