My Pashli has a sibling! I have been obsessed with this 3.1 Phillip Lim Clutch for a while, almost as long as the Pashli. I love the minimalist shape. I finally snagged myself one at an awesome discount. The leather is actually textured, but I’m totally OK that with that as it gives it the bag a little more edge and character. And the clutch fits *a lot*.
Some women find using day clutches as a bit cumbersome, but I rather like using them. It does take a bit of time to get used to. The arm strap on this particular clutch helps tremendously. The one problem I encounter, however, is when I’m holding the clutch in one hand and a coffee in the other and I’m confronted with a closed door that doesn’t open automatically with a push of a button. Never fails to stop me in my tracks. #firstworldproblems #dilemma
Whoever gave us this polar vortex can have it back. Seriously. I hope round two was the last round because I have never experienced such cold in my life. Thankfully, I chose this year to invest in a super warm winter coat. If I had any second thoughts about it initially, they are long gone now.
Despite the super warm outer layer, when it gets super cold, all I care to wear to work is a wool sweater and skinny pants to tuck easily into my boots. I purchased this tartan scarf a few months back and I love to throw it over a simple outfit to make it a bit more interesting (and incidentally, warmer).
I can’t even say that my posts lately have been sporadic because I know they’ve been simply non-existent. But I have a good explanation and it can be summed up in two words: “TAX SEASON”.
Although I’m thrilled that spring is finally approaching in T.O. and I can finally start to pack away the winter layers, I have to admit that I’m a bit sad to have to put away the boots. So while the cooler temps linger just a tiny bit longer, I will be happy to take advantage.
I’ve been thinking of purchasing a navy blue blazer for a while now, figuring it would a great addition to current collection of jackets that are made up of mostly black. Tart was kind enough to send me this blazer from their new spring collection, and I adore it! It nips in the waist a bit low for me since I’m short-waisted, but it is only noticeable when I button up the jacket. Otherwise, it is well constructed right down to the lining, and the perfect weight for the warmer months. Next on the list, a white blazer!
