Sleeveless mockneck tank + white sneakers

It’s happened. Spring has sprung. Finally. I’m ready to bust out those my spring sneakers, namely my new white Stan Smith sneakers that I finally got my hands on. This particular pair is a women’s style they actually fit smaller feet. Whereas the “regular” Stan Smith sneakers only came in men’s sizing. Happy? Yes!

One of my other favorite purchases over the last few months is this sleeveless mockneck tank. I’ve been looking for one for a while, but I settled on this particular one from Aritzia as it appears to be good quality but didn’t break my budget. I was trying to wait patiently on this Theory one, but it was either sold out or the price wasn’t right. There is also an H&M version that I liked, but I couldn’t snag it in my size. This tank goes with pretty much everything, so I’m pretty excited about it. I paired it with a stretchy skirt and this long trench with sneakers for a fun, casual look.

To note, Ann Taylor is having a cyber sale today (Sunday) and Monday. 50% off everything with free no minimum shipping. I picked up this white blazer (comes in petite!) and still contemplating some other purchases like this green sheath dress and this fun ruffle neck blouse. and gingham button down. Use code CYBER50.

Skirting Around

This is the first skirt post in a while, and there are a few reasons why. One, I do not like wearing skirts in the winter. The drafty-ness that occurs when the wind blows up against my legs is enough to make me put all my skirts away until spring. The second reason is that the extra weight I’ve put on over the last fall and winter season has prevented me from zipping up all my skirts! But now that I’m back “within range”, you will likely be seeing more skirts in upcoming blog posts.

White on white

I feel somewhat self-conscious when wearing white on white, but I love the look. If only I could complete this outfit with some simple nude or leopard pumps. Alas, I will have to settle for my typical black pumps for now. Nude and leopard two items have been sitting on my wish list for many years now and I hoping to cross them off in the near future.

The tie-neck/secretary blouse is such a classic piece, but is seriously trending right now. You can find them at all price points like here for a higher price point or here for a lower price point. And they come in all sorts of colors, patterns, hemlines, and unique details. It’s a great time to pick up your favorite version of this piece and you will likely wear it forever.
