I picked up this Ann Taylor Factory Poncho at the outlet last weekend. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it because it is very similar to a poncho I’ve had my eye on at Club Monaco for the last year or so. Although the Club Monaco version is made of cashmere, it’s a hefty $495!
This ATF poncho I picked up for a fraction of the price at $35 after discounts (regular price ~$79). I actually like the ATF poncho better, despite not being made of cashmere, it has a high neck and each side opening has two-zippers so I can zip the poncho closed and allow just small openings for my arms, or let the bottom or the poncho be left unzipped so it can be worn as a cape as I’m wearing it below. Obsessed.
I know we’ve all been seeing posts about the sales lately, but I thought that I would mention at the very last second that Neiman Marcus has a $50 off $200 purchased code available until tonight using: INC50. It appears to applies to just about everything except beauty and jewelry, including the Alexander Wang Gabi boots I’m wearing above, so it’s a great time to finally buy that designed bag or shoes you’ve been stalking for even just the slightest discount that you might not get otherwise. Nordstrom will also price match if you are looking to make multiple purchases, since the Neiman Marcus code only works once per customer. I may take advantage of this code myself pick up these and these to try on.
I love the idea of summer knits, though, not always so practical when you live in a hot and humid climate. To some, I may be fortunate to be able to wear these summer-weight sweaters (I think I’m still on the fence, but I do like that fact that I can still wear full-length denim in the summer now that I’m living back home in Toronto).
I wanted to post about this Wilfred Balzac sweater because I’m in love with it and many of the colors are on sale. It has a nice drapey fit with a dolman sleeve without being overwhelming on my petite frame. It is a cashmere/silk blend and not itchy at all for those of you that are sensitive to wool. Note however, that it runs on the large side. I actually went down one size for a not-too-oversized fit. I see only a small selection online, but you may find many more colors in your local store. I believe I counted five different colors including orange and lavender. The prices range from $45 on sale to $95 full price, and vary according to color. I think I may pick up another in Milk!
I can’t seem to figure out this spring weather in Toronto. Is it hot? Is it cold? I’ve been scouring my closet for appropriate pieces to wear and decided that today (or at least, the day I wore this) was a good day for plain ol’ basics.
These pants in particular are a workhorse in my wardrobe. In fact, so much so, I purchased another in fear that I might ruin the first pair for wearing them so often.
